Rob has been playing and teaching for over 45 years. Retired from solo competition, Rob has won grade 1 solo contests in March, Strathspey and Reel, Jig, and coveted piobaireachd awards at major Highland Games across Ontario during his competitive career. Formerly a member of the grade 3 Ogilvy Pipe Band, grade 1 Niagara & District Pipe band, grade 2 RCAF Ottawa Pipes & Drums, Rob is now the Pipe Major of the Ottawa Caledonian Pipes & Drums and is also a recognized bagpipe instructor and adjudicator for Eastern Region Royal Canadian Air Cadets. His students have regularly appeared at highland games winning many prizes over the years including the prestigious Glengarry Highland games. Rob accepts students aged 8 and up.
