The Kingsville Highland Games Returns to the PPBSO Circuit!

The Kingsville Highland Games made a welcome return to the PPBSO competition circuit after a one-year hiatus, marking the 4th sanctioned competition of the 2026 season. The event was held at Colasanti's Tropical Gardens, a new venue that provided a fantastic setting for the day’s activities, and the weather was absolutely perfect!

While Kingsville is one of the farther locations in the competition circuit, there was a great turnout for solos, reflecting the commitment and enthusiasm of those who competed.

Following the opening ceremonies, the band competition got underway with performances in the Grade 3 Set, Grade 4 Medley, and Grade 5 March Medley events. As the afternoon temperatures continued to climb, each band delivered outstanding performances, expertly judged by our dedicated PPBSO Judges.

Beyond the pipe and drum competitions, the games featured exciting heavyweight events, highland dancing competitions, and a variety of attractions offering something for everyone.
A sincere thank you goes out to the Kingsville Highland Games committee for their dedication and hard work in bringing the games back after a year's absence. Their commitment made a fantastic day of competition and celebration possible.
