Kingsville Highland Games: Big money for competing along with a red carpet welcome - & Quartets!

This year - Saturday, June 24, 2023 - the Kingsville Highland Games is giving piping, drumming and pipe band competitors something no other games promoter in the world offers: a chance to win additional prize money just for entering and competing!

How does it work?

There are 4 categories of prize draws each valued at $500!

So, for example, if you enter in a solo piping event - and compete at the games - your name goes in the draw to be held at the end of the day for your chance to win a $500 cash prize. The same goes for solo drumming (snare, bass, tenor and Drum Major categories collectively), pipe bands (all grades together) and the brand new quartet piping event!

In honour of our Kingsville Highland Games mascot, the Celtic Canada Goose, we’re calling it The Golden Egg Draw! This is an exciting chance to add to the fun on offer at the beautiful Kingsville Highland Games where there’s no shortage of things to do and see beyond our wonderful piping, drumming and pipe band events!

Quartets come to the Highland Games!

Kingsville Highland Games is excited to be the first games in Ontario to offer competitors the chance to have a tune in a good old-school quartet! So grab your piper pals, play some tunes and add to the fun of the day!

Combined Grades 1-2

1 Medley - 5 to 7 minutes

Grade 3

1 Medley - 3 to 6 minutes

Grade 4

1 Medley - 3 to 5 minutes

Grade 5

1 March Medley in Quick-time - 2:45 to 4:30 minutes

The Quartets Category offers competition opportunities to four pipers comprised of members registered with a band. If a quartet of pipers wishes to participate and pipers are not registered members of a band then a quartet representative should submit a note to the PPBSO Administrator in advance of entry deadline (with information related to the experience levels of participating pipers) for direction on an appropriate grade of entry.

A special welcome for our pipers and drummers!

In Kingsville, we put careful thought into your experience so parking shuttles, a dedicated Piper & Drummer’s Entrance into the park and a reserved beer ticket station will be available to our pipers and drummers. As always, registration and details for our competitions will be available through PPBSO and the Master Entry Form with all details on exciting games news!

Come flock to Kingsville! We can't wait to see you at The Jack Miner Bird Sanctuary on Saturday, June 24, 2023!
