At the recent Cambridge Highland Games, home to the Canadian Pipe Band Chanpionships, pipes|drums Magazine (www.pipesdrums.com) recorded what is believed to be the first video ever shot of an actual competing pipe band from inside the circle. pipes|drums, an Ontario-based publication, cleared the way with the Ottawa Police Pipe Band, the PPBSO and the contest adjudicators in order to gain this unprecedented access. The result is a spectacular insider’s view to what it is like to be on the inside of a high-level pipe band in the competition circle.
